RCIA is a communal process of faith formation and conversion, by which adults can enter the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. Those who wish to become Catholic are received into the Church every year at the the Easter Vigil Mass. While differing in name and precise execution, this process is one of the oldest in the Church.
RCIA is designed for those who have not been baptized, or Christians baptized in another faith desiring full communion with the Church, or baptized Catholics who have not received catechesis for the other Sacraments of Initiation, or anyone wanting to know about Catholicism.
The class setting is informal and relaxed. Classes are held on Monday evenings beginning in September. Classes are taught by our priests or deacon, addressing a particular topic about the Catholic faith.
The process is completed over nine months beginning in September and concluding at Easter.
At the Easter Vigil Mass.
